THE BLANK MIND!!!!
“Hello T, would you like to share any of your blog post on my blog site? this month my brain is blank and I can’t seem to write. It will be featured as a guest blog post with all your credits, thanks”.
My response!
“Your brain being blank is a whole blog”
This conversation got me thinking on my drive home after hours of sitting in and out of meetings, responding to emails, phone calls, WhatsApp messages both official and private and the walk on the corridors of 37 military hospital for the past 37 days! (Feb 9th to March 17th, 2022). The Fantewoman she calls her blog, is a customer turned friend, very bubbly and sweet fellow, multi-tasker and a goal getter! I’m writing you this piece to assure you that life is full of ups and downs, lows and highs, sorrows and happy moments! Having a blank brain/mind not to post anything on your blog is acceptable and I assure you, your audience will love to see how blank your Brain is! Breath through the moments and know that, life throws shades at us and we have to pick up the pieces and move.
I’ve had that fear of being blank when I started my personal blog, reason I keep postponing my blogging, yet, good friends keep reminding me I am striving well to start my personal blog. Others say T, you’ve seen and experienced a lot not to share! Another fear of being judged because that is the society we live in. Of course we act nonchalant at times but sometimes in our little closets we fight our fears. I’ve been privileged and blessed enough to still have both parents alive. Dad’s 85, mum’s 80. then BOOM 🤯 two days to mums 80th, dad had a terrible accident breaking all his bones! This actually happened the day I was coordinating mum’s photoshoot.
How I managed to keep my cool till the session was over after 4 hours before telling her was a surprise to myself. The phone calls of knowing what’s happening at the hospital, his condition, transferring him to Accra et al. that very moment got me thinking 🤔 is this the fairy-tale Thelma? Gosh I’ve matured! I had beautiful plans for the first quarter of the year but then this whole situation, juggling between emotions of being happy to let mum feel loved and appreciated, then running around chasing medical personnel, arguing with nurses and waiting hours at the entrances of theatres made me realize, it’s actually good to be BLANK sometimes!
My dear Fantiwoman, a lot has happened to me these few months so if there was someone to be Blank or Blanker (if only there’s a word like that) then I guess it’s me! I’m once again assuring you, being blank as a blogger is accepted! Your brain being blank doesn’t mean you’ve nothing to write, rather there’s too much going on in and around you to put your thoughts together!
Do me a favour and tell your audience once again; THIS MONTH THE FANTEWOMAN IS BLANK!!!!
