Harmattan and Asthma in a Pandemic…
The dry season is here again and if you are a parent like me, it could be a ‘worst’ nightmare but the GRACE is sufficient.
As a mum of three, I am constantly busy and always on the move juggling a full time day job, trying to set up an online business and the day to day managing the home and being a wife! It can be exhausting but i do it gracefully just like everyone does.
Nonetheless, if you have kids who asthmatic like my own it is double the wahala, for instance on Saturday we had to take my son to a hospital at 3am and returned at 7am only to go back again at 11am till 2pm; in the midst of all there was laundry to be done, food to be cooked for the coming week, a husband who had lectures to attend ( he has to forfeit that) and a host of other chores and errands to he done.
After all the back and forth, here I am on a Monday morning at the SNNIT hospital with child number two also going through series of nebulisation with number 1 and 3 at home (recuperating)and school respectively.
Managing asthma and allergies are not just stressful but expensive too; it can rip through once budget without care; but through it all I am thankful for the gift of life and good health and all the health care providers who are constantly holding our hands through…
If you are a parent going through this or managing any form child healthare crisis and any other conditions, I am sending you hugs from mine to yours and I pray that we all pull through just fine….
Still we move because JESUS is Lord indeed….
